It was June 6, 2003; The last day of school. Every kid counting down til the clock reached 3:30, when summer would finally start, and we would be free. As the bell rang, kids opened doors, charting down hallways. Lots and lots of pushing. Lots and lots of chatting and laughing. As I tried to push through all of the kids to get to my locker. When I opened it, nothing in there seemed out of the ordinary at first. When I finally got all of my stuff I saw it, in the very corner of my locker was a CD. As I reached for it, I realized that it was very dusty, almost like it had been there since the first day. There is definitely some sort of label on it. When I blew the dust off of it, the label only read two words: “PET EATER”. Obviously, I wasn't taking that home, so I tossed it in the trash can and went on with my day. However, while I was walking home, I could not get it off my mind. What was in this disc, Who made it, Why was it called “PET EATER”, How long was it in my locker, Who put it in my locker, If it was just placed there then why was it so dusty and old looking like it had been there before I was born. The questions ate at my mind. Half-way to my home, I turned back and ran. The words “PET EATER” stayed in my mind. Finally, I got back to my school and pulled it out of the trash. My parents were out of town so no one was at home to greet me. I booted up my pc and, for some unknown reason, I inserted the disc into my drive. One file. “PETEATER.ISO”. Inside the file contained an Installer. When I ran it, it only said one term, “BY PRESSING CONTINUE, YOU ARE AGREEING THAT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE TO ANYTHING THAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN PLAYING” weird. When the program opened, it said the same two words “PET EATER” in black text. A low quality image of a dog was in the background.
